our invitations
We had everyone bring fun activities and yummy snacks. Auntie Caitlin helped us stamp mini candy cane cards and Brooklyn taught us how to make a box out of a piece of paper and decorate them. They were all very girly.

Yep. Those are my kids....oh how I love 'em!

1) I love to sing. This probably doesn’t come as a surprise to most of you. But seriously, I’d rather sing than give a talk, read something aloud or pretty much anything. My face gets all red when I have to do those kinds of things. But when I sing, for some reason I’m as cool as a cucumber. I don’t know why. It is what it is.
2) I tend to be over-the-top organized. Unfortunately, this doesn’t necessarily apply to my house all the time. But if I didn’t have to clean up after little kids making messes all day it would. I love when every paper has its file, every toy has its box and every little thing has its specific place. I love organizing things into bins or totes and I love using a label maker to top it all off. Another part of this is that I’m a list person. I love to have lists whether they’re daily, weekly, monthly or whatever. I just love crossing the things off. It makes me feel like I've accomplished something.
3) I love to rearrange furniture. I love trying out new ways to place it. This one’s kind of weird because sometimes I can’t help but to sit there even at other people’s houses and picture a more functional way to arrange their furniture. Or I picture that if I lived there for some reason, how I would arrange my own furniture in that space. I know. It’s sick, right? But it gets worse. Sometimes I end up dreaming about it too. Then in the morning I end up having the perfect idea of how it could work.
4) My whole life I’ve never had my ears pierced. That is, until about a month ago. I’m 27 years old and I just pierced my ears! I’d wanted to do it for a few years now but never felt the need before. But last month while my sister-in-law was in town, we went and finally had it done. Hey, the rules say random and that’s random..jpg)

Here are some great quotes from our 3 1/2 year old daughter, Kate:
AUG. 2008
Kate: Mommy, my waist hurts.
Mommy: Oh, sorry, are you okay?
Kate (as she walks away): Yeah, it comed out as a toot.
SEPT. 2008
Daddy: Kate, who's faster? Mommy or Daddy?
Kate: I am.
OCT. 2008
Kate walked in after playing outside for a while and asked Daddy:
How do you play dress up with a bug?

Kate's version of Rock-A-Bye Baby:
Rock-a-bye baby in the tree top
When the wind blows the cradle will rock
When the bough breaks the cradle will fall
And down will come baby...
I will catch you!
The kids and I like to watch The Lawrence Welk Show. Last time we had it on, Kate quickly dressed up and started dancing to Moon River with them. It was so sweet. Afterward, Sammy clapped for her and she took a bow.
My brother, Nathan, married Melanie Dixon on September 20th in the Boise LDS Temple. It was so awesome to be there with all my brothers and their spouses. I am so happy for Nathan and Melanie. They are great together. She is so beautiful and sweet and we are all really excited to get to know her better!
Whenever Kate pretends to talk on the phone it's always to Melanie now. She was SO excited for their wedding day so she could see her new Aunt Melanie's Cinderella "up shoes" (high heels) and her "marry dress."
Welcome to the Williams gang, Melanie!
The Good News is...
Sam learned how to open doors!
The Bad News is...
Sam learned how to open doors.
This means we're all in for a whole new world of trouble with our little guy.
(Sorry the video is sideways.)
This year our stake presidency has challenged each person to can at least 1 jar of peaches; the idea being you can't can just 1 jar at a time. I was afraid I wasn't going to be able to do it because I missed getting peaches on time. Well, on Tuesday I got a call from an older brother in our ward telling me he had 3 buckets of peaches he gleaned that had my name on them! And he gave them to us for free! What a blessing! So the next day, I took them over to my mom's house and she helped me can them. We canned about 45 quarts. It was great! My mom had to do a lot of the work because I had all my kids there too and needed to keep them entertained and happy. So I owe her a huge
THANKS!
